1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password you choose. When you use our service, we collect information about your restaurant including your business name, address, hours, menu items, and images you upload. We also collect payment information through our payment processor, Stripe, which handles all credit card data directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and maintain the MenuHost service, including building and hosting your restaurant website. We use your email address to communicate service updates, billing notifications, and customer support. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate MenuHost: Stripe for payment processing, Vercel for website hosting, and Supabase for database hosting. Your published restaurant information (name, address, hours, menu) is publicly visible on your website by design. We do not share your account credentials or personal email with any third party.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We may use affiliate tracking cookies when you visit via a referral link; these cookies expire after 30 days. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your website is taken offline but your account data is retained for 90 days in case you wish to reactivate. After 90 days, we permanently delete your data upon request. You may request data deletion at any time by emailing support@menuhost.com.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your dashboard or by contacting us. You can export your restaurant data at any time. If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to object to processing.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), secure password hashing, and access controls. While no system is completely secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
